Old MacDonald Had A Farm...E I E I O

On Thursday, MaMa took the day off from work and we went to MacDonald's Farm. We were so excited...we had seen lots of farm animals in our books , but we had never seen REAL pigs, REAL cows, and REAL horses. We couldn't wait to hear the oink, oinks...the moo, moos, and...the neigh, neighs. MaMa bought us each a bag of food to feed the animals and she showed us how to put the food into our hands so the animals could eat. We didn't like the animals licking our hands so we just threw the food near them...smile! Our favorite animals were the rabbits...maybe because they moved around a lot and they are smaller than us? The donkeys sure made us laugh. They would play with each other, throw their back legs up into the air, and make funny noises. We really liked the hay barn too...where lots of kids were rolling around and throwing the hay up into the air. Lil' Bro Alex had hay all in his hair and Big Sis Leah swung on the rope swing....she could've swung real high and then fallen into the hay but that seemed pretty scary...so MaMa held onto her. Before we left, we each picked out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. We're saving our "punkins" for Halloween. What a fun trip...we hope DaDa can see the "manimals" next time.
